Back from First Trip
September 13, 2006
I just got back from my first field quarter trip and it was incredible! There are some pictures on facebook that other people put up and I am hoping to get my act together soon and get some more up there. If you are really interested (which I’m guessing you have your own things to do and aren’t, but…) then you can check out www.bradleyrosenfeld.com and look in photos and then field quarter. Just thought I would let you know where to find me =). We traveled around New Mexico, Colorado and Utah studying the Ancestral Puebloans. I cannot believe that I get credit for so much fun. It was awesome to be outside so much rafting, swimming, hiking, climbing, and visiting national parks. I finally feel like environmental science was the perfect choice for a second major. The people are so so cool! I wish you all could meet the ladies that I have been hanging around with. It’s nice because there is no bitchiness or major complaining: everyone is just really happy to be doing what their doing.
I have study abroad applications to finish since I think that I may be having to go abroad in the spring this year (crazy credit crap that i keep trying to figure out). It’s hard to get started on it all even though the process isn’t that bad! Also, I have about a 15 page paper to write telling the story of the Ancient Puebloans from 200 A.D. to about 1300 A.D. It should be interesting trying to put it all together after seeing so much and having a field book with notes spilling out all over.
I have to say that things are going really well here. It’s a bit strange to be back in Denver without really anybody here other than Joey and Gillian, but i’m busy enough that it doesnt’ matter much. Jay (my friend that I am living with) is looking for a new job and may be moving in the next month so it looks like I’ll be couch surfing for a while before school is out. I wish you were here and could see my unshaven legs and one hairy armpit (bets and deals on long trips are always a bad idea) and share some good laughs and smiles. I miss you all so much!
Loving life!
